Bhavna Satyanarayan is the Head of Communications at the Care Chemicals division of BASF Asia-Pacific based in Hong Kong. An experienced, outcome-driven, communications professional with over 15 years of experience, she has worked on the agency and corporate sides in India and overseas. With a wealth of experience in various facets including corporate reputation management, crisis management, internal, digital, change and leadership communications, she has helped blue-chip companies achieve their business goals.

Prior to her role at BASF Care Chemicals, she was heading Brand Marketing and Communications at Volvo Buses India. Before Volvo, Bhavna was leading Stakeholder Relations and Employee Communications for BASF India.

Bhavna started her career with Burson Marsteller India. She holds a post graduate degree in PR and advertising from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.


VChiRImmediate Past President / Vice President, Finance and Accreditation (Treasurer)

With over 20 years of professional experience in communications, Virginia has a broad array of experience spanning journalism, marketing and corporate communications, advertising and event management. In addition to her work in communications, she had held senior positions in marketing management in major corporations. Virginia is currently Communications Consultant at CE Excel. Organizations served include Jardine OneSolution of the Jardine Matheson Group, Hongkong Telecom/PCCW, Hong Kong Construction Arbitration Centre, Hong Kong Tourism Board and South China Morning Post.

Virginia is a certified Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP), and an adjunct lecturer of public relations studies of various academic institutions. She has served the IABC Hong Kong Chapter as Board Executive since 2013. She is also a Founding Member, ex-Steering Committee Member and Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals’ Association. Virginia holds a Master's degree in Communication.

Vice President, Professional Development and Programs

Adam Harper is the Founder and Managing Director of Ashbury Communications, which he launched in January 2020.

He was previously HSBC’s Head of Communications for Greater China, responsible for the Group's communications in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He also played a leading role in HSBC’s global communications about its China strategy and business.

Adam joined HSBC in 2012 and was also Head of Communications for the bank's home market of Hong Kong and Regional Head of Communications for Global Banking and Markets, Asia-Pacific. Before joining HSBC, he was a Vice President in Credit Suisse's Asia- Pacific Corporate Communications team.

Adam has extensive experience in advising senior executives on strategic communications in Asia-Pacific and Greater China, including campaigns, crisis management and employee engagement. Outstanding original content has always been at the heart of his work.

Adam started his career with Euromoney Institutional Investor in London and worked as a financial journalist in London and Hong Kong, where he has lived since 2004. He has a degree in English from the University of Cambridge.


Vice President, Partnerships

Genevieve Hilton has worked in corporate affairs and sustainability in Asia Pacific since 1994, primarily in Vietnam and Hong Kong. At Lenovo, she leads the communications function in Asia Pacific and supports the company’s intelligent transformation strategy.

Before Lenovo, she was Head of External Communications and Corporate Citizenship at BASF for 11 years. There, she handled stakeholder engagement, corporate citizenship (non-profit activities), sustainability reporting, crisis readiness, online communications, media relations, corporate publications, and channel management, for 18 markets in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining BASF, she was Senior Vice President, Client Services, at Ketchum Greater China, and held a variety of agency roles in Hong Kong and Vietnam. She is also Vice President, Professional Development for the Hong Kong Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators, and is the recipient of the IABC Excellence Award for contribution to the communications profession in Asia Pacific.

Vice President, Digital

Lisa Sha is an experienced communication professional at the forefront of digital media. She is currently Associate Director of Communication at Fidelity International and Vice President of Digital for the International Association of Business Communicators Hong Kong Chapter.

With over 15 years of experience in international financial institutions, she has covered internal and external communications, traditional and social media, government relations and strategic investment in Hong Kong, mainland China and across Asia.

Graduated with an MBA from The University of Hong Kong, Lisa is also an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC).
